Dave Taylor

Lead Pastor

Dave graduated from the Sovereign Grace Pastors College in 2001 and joined the Pastoral Team of Christchurch, UK where he thought he’d be forever. But God had other plans, and in June 2010 Dave moved to Sydney with his family, to plant Sovereign Grace Church, where he continues to serve as our Lead Pastor. Dave also serves on the Sovereign Grace Churches Leadership Team (Global), as the Director of Global Missions, and has the joy of serving all over the world on behalf of our family of churches. He lives in West Pennant Hills with his wife, Emma, and their five children, and spends his free time enjoying NRL, SuperCoach, McDonald’s, fine wines & anything that tastes like lollies. He’s a happy man.

Brandan Willis

Pastor

Brendan Willis joined the Pastoral Team in 2012, upon graduating from Moore Theological College with a Bachelor of Theology degree. He became a pastor in March 2017, being the first Australian to be ordained by Sovereign Grace Churches, and has served here ever since, overseeing all things mission, maturity, and ministry. He lives in Hornsby with his wife, Charlotte, and their three children, and spends his free time reading, running, wearing slippers, and working hard to care for his three young sons.

Andrew Leung

Pastor

Andrew Leung joined the Sovereign Grace Pastoral Team in 2020, and completed the SG Pastors & Planters Academy in 2022. Andrew oversees all things music and prayer, and assists Dave in all things magnification and membership in a bi-vocational way, also working part-time as a Portfolio Manager. He received a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and Bachelor of Law from Macquarie University in 1998, followed by a Master of Laws from Sydney University in 2002. Andrew is never bored, always has lots going on, both locally and globally, and is always looking for some keep-fit activity to get involved with, before enjoying a KFC. He and his wife, Kat, live in Wahroonga and have three children.

Austin Loke

Pastoral Intern

Austin Loke is our newest recruit, joining the Sovereign Grace Pastoral Team in 2023, having completed the SG Pastors & Planters Academy in 2022. Austin is a Pastoral Intern and is heavily involved in our missions sphere, assisting Brendan, as well as serving in preaching. Austin received a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from UNSW in 2010 and is working toward his MA (Biblical Studies) at Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS). He serves our church in a bi-vocational way, also working part-time as a Private Investor/Portfolio Manager. Austin lives in Gordon with his wife, Ivy, and their three small children, and spends his free time (of which there’s very little), wearing his puffer jacket vest, for reasons we do not yet know… Watch this space!
